- Does it tell me what to do for a patient?
- No, and it is built to refuse. Ask AI is an educational reference aid. It does not diagnose, does not recommend treatment, and does not replace your clinical judgement, your provider, or your facility policy. Verify every answer against your own references before you act on it.
- Does patient information leave my phone?
- No patient identifiers do. The app never asks for a name, MRN or date of birth, and identifiers are scrubbed on device before any request is sent. Do not type patient identifiers into it — there is no reason to, and the app is not a medical record and not a charting system.
- Does it work without a signal?
- No. Ask AI needs connectivity. The reference library, calculators and brain sheet all work offline, so the things you need most in a dead-zone room are the things that do not depend on it.
- Can it be wrong?
- Yes. It is a language model over a nursing reference library, and it can be confidently wrong. Every answer carries a reminder to verify. Treat it the way you would treat a knowledgeable colleague who is not the one signing for the med.
